Original, one of a kind, canvas painting on 120×100cm sized stretched box canvas. Painted with acrylic paint and texture medium. Featuring finished edges and my logo stamp to sign.

This large piece depicts a microscopic look into the relationship between fungi and lichen. Inspired by a 1869 paper by Swiss botanist Simon Schwendener on the “dual hypothesis of lichens”. In which he described the fungal and algal partnership that makes up the visible body of lichen.
